Beginning and advanced learners will find that the regular course offerings, combined with convenient open lab hours, provide a high-powered and satisfying learning environment for the pursuit of a degree, a certificate, or just some needed information.

Lab Use Policy

CIS students can use the CIS computer labs when classes are in session under the following conditions.

  1. You must be enrolled in a CIS class AND CIS 198 at Cuyamaca College. CIS 198 is a no-unit, no-cost class.
  2. The instructor doesn't object (no tests or other special class projects are in progress).
  3. Seats are available in the back 2 rows of the classroom.
  4. You are able to work quietly - not disturbing the class.
  5. You do not print during lecture. Printing is limited to homework only. Printing off the internet is not allowed.
  6. No food or drinks allowed in the CIS labs.

To enroll in CIS 198, you will need to identify the name of the course you are enrolled in, section number, and the name of your instructor. To log in, you will need to acquire a new Student ID card, that has your Colleague ID on it. OLD STUDENT IDS WILL NO LONGER BE VALID.

ID cards can be obtained from the Open Lab Help Desk in the Tech Mall at the following hours:

M-F: 7:30am-8:30pm
Sat: 9am-3pm

For additional assistance while using the CIS labs please ask the CIS Lab Aide Demarquet Davis  in H136
