Student Recognition Ceremony

The EOPS Annual Student Recognition Luncheon is held at the end of every school year for all EOPS students, their families, our staff members, and friends of the EOPS program.  The purpose is to get together to celebrate another year of hard work and to say a warm "Good-Bye and Good Luck" to those of our students who are graduating from Cuyamaca College and/or transferring to a university after the end of the school year.  Graduates are awarded with EOPS certificates and memorable gifts.

As always, the event brings together all of EOPS' "extended family" and many friends of our program. Among those who share with us the joy of this celebration are Cuyamaca College President Dr. Gerri Perri, other Cuyamaca administrators, instructors, and staff members. Ceremony guests enjoy a friendly and festive atmosphere at the event, with ample food and music.

The award presentation becomes the culmination of the event. EOPS Counselor Greg Gomez presents the gifts and certificates from the EOPS program to our graduates - people whose determination and hard work brought them to this special day.

The EOPS Annual Student Recognition Ceremony is made possible by the EOPS program.  Fundraising efforts were made possible by our dilligent Peer Advisors.  It was organized and set up by the EOPS Peer Advisors. Associate Dean Carmen Solom, as well as Assistant Financial Aid Officer Ray Reyes serves the guests at the food station.  There are a number of staff members, who  pitched in to make this event happen for our graduates.

The photos posted below were taken during past Recognition Ceremonies to capture the special moments of our event. More pictures coming soon.  Enjoy them, and join us again next year!
