Coyotes sign at 4-year
Universities
Ashley Holton, Amber Webb, Kristi
French and Nichole Bishop all sign their Letters of Intent.
Ashley Holton, after turning down offers to stay local, decides to
move to Texas and be a Wildcat at Division 2 Abilene Christian
University.
“We are thrilled Ashley chose to come to ACU. She is a tremendous
competitor who will be a playmaker for us. Her breakaway speed is
impressive and is great in the air. Ashley has proven over the past
two years at Cuyamaca College that she is a force to be dealt with.”

In Coyote Team fashion, Amber Webb,
Kristi French and Nichole Bishop turn down individual offers in
order to stay together and move to Kansas to be Braves at Ottawa
University.
“Amber's versatility, great ball skills and successful conference
winning junior college experience will help us immensely next
season,” said Shaw. “She had DII offers but saw the potential in our
young team and will be a great leader on and off the field for us”
“I am very happy in getting Nichole. She shows a great hunger and
desire to be successful,” said Shaw. “With her junior college
experience she will push for starting time and give me a great goal
keeping dilemma.”
“Frenchy is exactly the type of player I was looking for. She can
play center or right back, has speed, strength and great
experience,” said Shaw. “She gives us the depth we needed in such a
vital area as well as a leader for my talented freshman to learn
from.”

Ashley Holton earns Pacific Coast Conference Player of the Year
Honors for the Second year in a row. Coming off a year
where she broke all offensive records at Cuyamaca as a freshman
Ashley followed up with another great year coming one goal short
of her record to equal 41 goals for her career.
Ashley also earned National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) Honors
securing her place on the 2008 NSCAA/ADIDAS Junior-College DIV
III Women All-West Region Team.
Alyssa Garcia Named PCC Athlete of the Week (Oct 5th)
Garcia,
a freshman forward from Valhalla High School, scored two goals in
leading the Coyotes to a 3-2 victory over San Diego Mesa. The
Olympians had only surrendered one goal all season going into the
match.
After boosting
the Coyotes to their first win over Mesa in six years, Garcia also
scored a goal in Cuyamaca's 2-0 win over Palomar to end the week.

Brittany Sauls earns Honorable Mention for PCC Athlete of the
Week
Sauls, a freshman Midfielder from Grossmont High School, scored 2
goals against Mira Costa and had a great game against San Diego City
College to help the Coyotes get on track and inch closer to the top
of the Conference
