Coyotes survive the Heat in Pasadena (Sept 25)

Alyssa GarciaThe Lady Coyotes continue their progress with another win in Pasadena.  In Hot and Dry temperatures the Coyotes pulled together to set up 2 break away goals for Jasmine Gandy and Alyssa Garcia.  Pasadena tried many times to get through the Coyote Defense but were shut down.  Goal Keepers Ariell Guerrero and Megan Meyer recorded the Shut-out for the Coyotes. 

The Coyotes will not get to sit back and enjoy the win as they will have a good battle the next day against San Diego City in the Coyotes’ first Home game of the Season.

 


COYOTES get back on track!! (Sept 20)

Jasmine Gandy After a very slow start to the season, the Lady Coyotes seem to be getting things together and showing the form typical of Coyote Soccer Freshman Jasmine Gandy recorded her first College "Hat-Trick" Scoring 3 goals to help the Coyotes over Southwestern College on Friday.  Sophomore Alyssa Garcia contributed to all 3 Assists in the game.

 

The Lady Coyotes travel to Pasadena on Thursday for a non-conference match before finally coming home to the first Home game of the season against San Diego City College on Friday at 3:15.

 


Junior college soccer teammates reunited in Ottawa

Many new college students experience a huge fear among people. Being alone.

However, three Ottawa University women soccer players, Nichole Bishop, Amber Webb and Kristi French, don’t have those worries.

The trio attended Cuyamaca Community College together and have come to Ottawa to continue their collegiate careers.

Ashley Holton

Make it a sweep!!

Ashley Holton earns Pacific Coast Conference Player of the Year Honors for the Second year in a row.  Coming off a year where she broke all offensive records at Cuyamaca as a freshman Ashley followed up with another great year coming one goal short of her record to equal 41 goals for her career. 

 

Ashley also earned National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) Honors securing her place on the 2008 NSCAA/ADIDAS Junior-College DIV III Women All-West Region Team.  

 

Ashley will Join the Abilene Christian University Wildcats (Texas) in the Fall

 

 


 

Alyssa GarciaAlyssa Garcia Named PCC Athlete of the Week (Oct 5th)

Garcia, a freshman forward from Valhalla High School, scored two goals in leading the Coyotes to a 3-2 victory over San Diego Mesa. The Olympians had only surrendered one goal all season going into the match.

After boosting the Coyotes to their first win over Mesa in six years, Garcia also scored a goal in Cuyamaca's 2-0 win over Palomar to end the week.
