The switchboard operators serve as the first contact for callers to Cuyamaca, and direct contact for Cuyamaca staff. The functions of the switchboard are:

• Direct callers to appropriate departments and/or personnel
• Provide general information about the campus and college programs and activities
• Provide faculty/staff with information and direction as needed to faculty and staff
• Contact person in emergency situations
• Assign/delete and provide directions to voice mailboxes
• Troubleshoot phone problems on campus
• Assign work orders to Info Systems and Trinity Telecom
• Create/maintain database for District and campus directories
