34th Annual Commencement Ceremony

Welcome to the 34th Annual Commencement Ceremony webpage. Commencement will be held on the Student Center Quad in Cuyamaca College on May 30th, 2012 at 5:30pm. Please check back as this page will be continuously updated with more information.

New RSVP Requirements

• Graduates will need to RSVP with the number of guests who will be attending the ceremony. (There is no limit to the number of guests.)
• There will be a rehearsal for all graduates on May 29th at 11:00 AM at the Cuyamaca College Student Center Quad. It is very important that all graduates attend the rehearsal.
• Graduates need to arrive by 4:00 PM and report to room I-207

Order Your Cap & Gown

Caps and gowns will be available and may be picked up at the College Bookstore during the following hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Located in I-129 on first floor of the Student Center The fee for the cap, gown and tassel is $29.50 plus tax. For those graduates eligible for honor cords, the cost is an additional $10.00 plus tax. These items are yours to keep as a reminder of your graduation.

Plan Your Special Day

Inform your guests that parking will be available in the following lots on Graduation Day: Student Lots #1, 2, 4 and 5. Disabled parking placards must be displayed in order to avoid ticketing. If you will need special arrangements to accommodate disabilities, please contact the Disabled Students Programs and Services office at (619) 660-4239.

On the Big Day

Graduates are requested to meet at 4:00 PM in room I-207 on the second floor of the Student Center. The graduation ceremony will take place in the Quad by the Student Center. Light refreshments, food and music will be available for all graduates. Immediately following Commencement, there will also be a student “After Event” in room I-208 and I-209.

Vendors and Serviecs

For your convenience, vendors will be available to you for your special day.

• California Candids Graduation Photography
Within seven days after graduation, a photo proof card will be sent to your mailing address. If you are interested in ordering a professional photograph of your graduation, you may do so by following the information included with that card. If you do not receive this information and are interested in ordering a photograph, please call 1-866-882-2897, or contact California Candids at info@gradphotos.com
• Fleur D’Lis Flowers
There will be flowers for sale during the sale, and you can also pre order flowers at (619) 857-5051.
• Cuyamaca College Bookstore
During the graduation ceremony, there will be college mementos, snacks, and drinks available for purchase.
