Women's Soccer Update
Cuyamaca has set the standard for
their road back to the top of the Pacific Coast Conference. With a
hard week in front of them
facing the teams ranked #3 and
#13 in the nation, the Lady Coyotes were focused on instantly getting
Cuyamaca back on
the map of Women’s Community
College Soccer.
The Lady Coyotes began their
season facing Cypress College, the #3 team in the Nation. The Coyotes
fought hard but came
up short with a 0-2 loss. The
Coyotes then went on to finish the week with a 3-2 win against Santa
Monica College and then a
2-1 win against LA Pierce College
which is ranked # 13 in the Nation and picked as last years #1 seed in
the Southern Section
of the State.
The Goal Scorers for the week
were Katie Morales with 2, Stacey Nulton with 1, Carrie Margulis with
1 and Lauren
Oldenburg with 1. Ellie
Magdeleno (Humbolt) contributed with 2 assists.
The Coyotes take the road next
weekend to play in the “Dual in the Desert” Tournament in Victorville.
