Automotive technology

program information

  • The automotive technology curriculum provides for entry level skills in the automotive field.
  • The program is designed to impart in-depth technical skills as required in today’s highly technical automotive field.
  • Preparation for employment in the automotive and/or transportation trades, with upgrading and specialization skills for those currently employed are stressed.
  • Emphasizes practical experience in actual repairs under simulated shop conditions.

CA BAR- Approved Emission Training Program

Update Smog Check Training

The Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) requires all licensed Smog Check technicians to complete update training every two years prior to license renewal. For details go to our smog update training page.
