The Biology Major’s curriculum is designed to provide a two-year transfer program with emphasis on the uniformity and diversity of life. The major degree requirements fulfill the lower division requirements for majors in biology, cell & molecular biology, dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, environmental health, microbiology and ecology. A second transfer pathway is available for students who plan to enter Allied Health programs such as nursing, radiology technician, respiratory therapy, ultrasonography and others. Students interested in majoring in Biology or any Allied Health related field should contact a counselor or biology department representative as soon as possible upon entry to the college.
