Links to some helpful websites on fallacies:

Fallacy Files - Especially good treatment of the classical formal fallacies (for those who are not convinced by my arguments that formal fallacies per se do not exist). Uses a convenient alphabetical index that de-emphasizes classification.

Mission: Critical - A Critical Thinking website put together by the folks at San Jose State University. It includes a good list of fallacies, and like my page, a group of interactive exercises.

The Nizkor Project - Based on Fallacy Tutorial Pro 3.0. Gives detailed explanations of 42 fallacies, including some not listed on my page.

Stephen's Guide to the Logical Fallacies - A good list of fallacies, including many not listed on my page. The layout of the site is attractive and easy to use.

Tim van Gelder's Critical Thinking on the Web - Not just fallacies. A comprehensive website on all aspects of critical thinking. It would take more than a semester to learn everything on this site.
