This course provides students with an historical perspective of the law and
the profession of paralegal. The main focus is the role of the paralegal in
the law office including client contact, ethical responsibilities, investigative
fact finding, law office management, and legal restrictions. Students will be
introduced to legal research and writing, substantive and procedural law, the
court systems, and legal terminology.
