About Cuyamaca College ?

Cuyamaca College is a public college, one of the 106 California Community Colleges, offering a comprehensive curriculum of lower division courses and academic preparation which permits transfer to any campus of the California State University and University of California systems.

Cuyamaca College is part of the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District siting on a 165 acre site in the eastern county of San Diego. The campus offers a serene and pleasant atmosphere in which to pursue your studies.

Who May Attend ?

Legal residents of the State of California who possess a high school diploma or equivalent or are over 18 years of age and have the ability to benefit.

High School students who have completed the 10th grade may attend with the approval of the appropriate high school official, the appropriate college official and the students parents.

Nonresidents may attend by paying the established nonresident tuition, enrollment, health services and student center construction fees.

How do I Enroll ?

  1. You need to submit a completed application to the Admissions and Records Office at Cuyamaca College. For an application and further information call 619-660-4276
  2. Request official transcripts be sent to Cuyamaca College from all colleges attended.
  3. Take the English and Math Assessment.
  4. Arrange for a counseling appointment.
  5. Complete registration process as outlined in the class schedule.

Cuyamaca College offers over 450 classes including: Sign Language, Anthropology, Art, Astronomy, Automotive Technology, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Child Development, Computer Information Systems, Drafting, Economics, Electronics, Engineering, English, English as a Second Language, Environmental Technology, French, Geography, Geology, Graphic Design, Health Education, History, Humanities, Journalism, Mathematics, Music, Ornamental Horticulture, Paralegal Studies, Personal Development, Philosophy, Physical Education, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Real Estate, Religious Studies, Sociology, Spanish, Speech Communications, Supervision, Surveying.

Classes are offered during the day, evening and weekend. In addition Cuyamaca offers Telecourses which are delivered via cable.
