Test Proctor

General Information

The Test Proctor is only here at the following times

Monday - Thursday:    9:00 a.m. – 4;30 p.m.

                                  Friday:     9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.


Steps to Test Proctoring -  Instructions for Students
 

Pick up your Academic Accommodation Form from DSPS at the One Stop Center.  

Bring it to the Test Proctoring Center located in the High Tech Lab at the LRC, Room L 120.

The Test Proctor will give you a Test Accommodation Request Form.  Your instructor will
complete the bottom section and sign it.  This form is valid for the entire semester, however you will need to complete one form for each class.

 Return the signed form to the Test Proctor in the High Tech Lab, room L 120.

 Schedule a test appointment at least “1 weekin advance or as soon as you know that you have a test.  Come by the Test Proctoring Office or call the Test Proctor at (619) 660-4577.

Your Responsibilities

Be prepared for your test. Bring all supplies allowed by your instructor, such as pencils, calculators, Scantrons and paper. Be on time for your appointment.  If you are unable to keep your appointment, or running late, please call (619) 660-4577 to let the Test Proctor know.

DSPS provides testing accommodations for students with documented disabilities.  Your student has requested the accommodation(s) described on the attached form.  If you would like the Test Proctor to administer your tests, please follow the instructions below. If you have any questions, please call 660-4577.

Complete the form.  Give it to the student who will return it to Test Proctor in the High Tech Lab in the LRC, Room L -120.  This form is valid for the entire semester and will be kept on file in our office.

 Test Scheduling.  Students must schedule an appointment with the Test Proctor five days prior to the test. Tests cannot be taken without an appointment. When the student makes an appointment, a special confidential envelope and Test Request Form will be sent to you.

 When to send tests.  It is very important that tests are sent to the Test Proctor three (3) days before the scheduled test or as soon as possible to avoid delays or having to reschedule the student because the test was not received.  Tests are kept in a secure, safe location.  

 How to send tests:  Tests can be sent to the Test Proctor via:

 Inter-office mail in the “Test Proctor” box in the mailroom.

Special InstructionsIf at any time during the semester you wish to alter your testing guidelines, please note the change on your test or call the Test Proctor.  Verbal changes delivered by the student are not accepted.

Completed tests.  When the student has finished testing, the test is sealed in a confidential envelope and returned to the mailroom on the same day.
