Background

My passion is reading, and my love of books has naturally led to my current profession, despite formal educational training in other disciplines. I have  degrees from the University of Texas (BBA) and the University of Houston (MBA). After teaching business and economics subjects for many years, however, I changed careers, becoming a writer and editor. The English language - reading and writing - has since that time evolved to become the central focus for both work and play in my life. All this simply proves you can, indeed, change horses in the middle of a stream.                        

Interests, Activities, & Plans                                                                            

Life offers many choices, but because I know time is limited, I try to turn away from the TV and spend my free time with books, music or nature.  I read and write, listen and play, and walk and wander.  Most importantly, I spend as much time as I am able with my family and loved ones, since this life - like literature - is ultimately about those painful but joyous connections.
