Prerequisite: None
Corequisite: none
Recommended Preparation: CIS 211

Macromedia Dreamweaver
It is useful to take Computer Graphics (CIS 170) or Web Graphics (CIS 217) prior to or with CIS 212.

Below are the required materials for the class. Also refer to the syllabus for more information.

Textbooks

This class requires the book below which can be purchased on Amazon or in the school bookstore. In this class, you will not only learn about Dreamweaver, but you will also become self sufficient in finding answers to questions you may have just by searching the web.

Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 Hands-On Training
by Daniel Short, Garo Green
Publisher: Peachpit Press (December 1, 2005)
ISBN: 0321293894

Materials

This class will be much easier, and convenient, if you have Dreamweaver 8 (or Dreamweaver MX) installed on your computer. See Gradware or campustech.com for academic prices.

Dreamweaver is available in the library computer lab and in room E-102.  To use E-102 outside of class time, you must enroll in CIS 198, a free, zero unit class.  See the lab use policy for details.

You need adequate storage to SAVE and BACK UP your work.  You are responsible for your work in spite of technical problems, so be sure to back up!  Many students use zip disks, but another nice option is a USB Flash Pen Drive.
