2007-2008 Eligibility Criteria

EOPS

Resident of California

Have completed less than 70 degree applicable units

Enroll full-time in a program leading toward a certificate, associate degree, or transfer to a four year institution

Have an educational disadvantage:

  • Not qualified for English 110 or Math 103
  • No high school diploma or GED
  • High school grade point average less than 2.0
  • Previous enrollment in a remedial education class
  • First generation college student
  • Parent's native language other than English
  • Member of under-represented ethnic group

  • Meet income eligibility for a Board of Governors A or B waiver:
  • Method A: Be a recipient of TANF/CalWORKs or SSI/SSP or General Assistance/General Relief
  • Method B: Income Guidelines below (based on 2006 income):

  • CARE
    You have been determined EOPS eligible
    You are a single head of household
    You are at least 18 years of age
    You have at least one child under the age of 14
    You, or one of your dependant children currently receives CalWORKs
