PROGRAM INFORMATION

The Associate Degree in Art is designed to provide a fundamental background in the two-dimensional studio arts emphasizing both technique and aesthetic awareness. The student will develop the ability to control line, value, shape, color, perspective and composition in various mediums.

The major in art will provide preparation for transfer to a four- year college in fine art or a vocational area related to art. The curriculum consists of courses in both studio techniques and art history.


SCHEDULE OF DEPARTMENT EVENTS


Fall Exhibition of Debra Babylon's Student Work, 2006: will be held from Thursday, November 9 to Thursday, December 7.

 

Spring Fine Art Exhibition, 2007:  will be held in LRC from Thursday, April 12 to Thursday, May 17

The Opening Reception will be on Thursday, 19 outside LRC from 4-6p.m.  Awards Ceremony will be at 5 p. m.
