The goal of the First Year Success Program is to provide academic and social support for our incoming first-year college students, increasing their academic success and retention. The goal of the program is to transition these students to college success by having them begin their college experience during the summer. Students get a jump-start by participating in a one-week summer bridge program.  During the program the student will learn about the social and academic resources on campus, participate in social and community-building activities on campus, make new friends, and register early for their classes...all with the help of a team of faculty, staff, peer educators (tutors), mentors, and community facilitators.
