The VMWare lab environment is provided via college server’s across the web. This environment can be slow depending upon the number of students using the system, the speed and quality of your computer and the speed of your Internet connection.
For this reason, there is a second lab environment that can be installed on your home computer. You may purchase a DVD set from the Cuyamaca College Bookstore. This DVD set has the necessary files and instructions to permit you to install a local version of the VMWare lab environment. This local version of VMWare will permit you to complete most, but not all, labs using your home computer. To determine if your home computer will support the local VMWare lab environment, please read the ReadMe file.
