Business Law 125

UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE

The U.C.C. was drafted by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. It governs commercial transactions (sales of goods, commercial paper, bank deposits and collections, letters of credit, bulk transfers, warehouse receipts, bills of lading, investments securities, and secured transactions). The U.C.C. has been adopted, with various modifications, by every state. To see a statutory U.C.C., you must look at the California Annotated State Codes located on the 2nd floor of the law library.
