Persuasive Speeches
The purpose of a persuasive speech is to help people see your
point of view about a particular topic and to change their minds if they do not
agree. For example, you could try to change the way they think about
an issue. Or you could encourage them to change their behavior.
Finally, you could persuade your audience to do something they
are not currently doing. Essentially, you will approach your audience with a
point of view, and you will try to get them to adopt it. Your speech will
be successful if the audience is willing to accept your ideas and suggestions.
