Login Help - Blackboard
Navigate to the Blackboard login page
- Launch Internet Explorer or Firefox
- Type bb.gcccd.edu in the address bar of your browser
- Click the User Login button
Note: If you don't understand this step, an online class is probably not right for you.

Log in
- Your username is your first name, followed by a dot, then your last name
Example: Joe Smith = joe.smith
- Your password is your 6-digit date of birth
Example: August 2, 1990 = 080290
Exceptions:
- Your Blackboard username is the same as your WebAdvisor login User ID
- Some common GCCCD usernames have a random number attached at the end
If you are not sure what your username is, you can verify it through WebAdvisor.

Congratulations, you're logged in!
- If you reach the welcome page, you have successfully logged in
- Courses in which you are enrolled appear on the upper right-hand side of the screen
Login errors
- If you get a message that says "An error occurred while the system was processing this login request," you may be logging in with an incorrect username and/or password
- If you are not sure what your username is, you can verify it through WebAdvisor.
