Using Flash Video

These examples show three basic ways you can use video in Flash.

Example 1: Embedded Video

Download the .fla file for this example.

This example embeds an entire QuickTime .mov video file in Flash. The video is approx. 480 frames.

Example 2: Embedded Video Clips

Download the .fla file for this example.

This example includes a series of embedded videos created with the Flash Video Encoder integrated into Flash in which the video was segmented into smaller video clips with the Clip editor feature.

Example 3: External Video from URL

Download the .fla file for this example.

This file is played back from an external video uploaded to the web server which hosts the GD222 course site.
