  • ABC News - News summaries and headlines with links to full stories.
     
  • Aljazeera - "The world’s first global English language news channel to be headquartered in the Middle East."
     
  • BBC News - BBC News Front Page includes text of major stories with links to audio and video clips.

  • Christian Science Monitor - The electronic edition with article summaries, links to full stories, and searchable archives.

  • CNN Interactive - Choose U.S. and international news from a variety of categories.

  • CNSNews.com - News and views from a right wing perspective, compiled by the Conservative News Service.

  • Fox News Online - News from the Fox network.
     
  • Internet Public Library Online Newspapers - Major foreign language newspapers from around the world, organized by region with searching available. Maintained by Internet Public Library and hosted by the School of Information at University of Michigan.
     
  • Kidon Media-Link - "Links to 19,251 newspapers and other news sources from almost every country and territory in the world."
     
  • Los Angeles Times - Offers recent news free of charge, as well as an index to their archives.  Older articles must be purchased online (we suggest using the index for citation information, and then turning to Cuyamaca's microfilm collection for actual articles.  Or you can track down specific articles using interlibrary loan).

  • NPR Online - National Public Radio information online.
     
  • Opinion Pages - Offers links to newspaper sites, organized by region.  Includes opinions, ideas and commentary published on-line (but not major syndicated columnists). Maintained by Marty Kersell, an independent webmaster.

  • Today's Front Pages - "The Newseum displays these daily newspaper front pages in their original, unedited form. Some front pages may contain material that is objectionable to some visitors. Viewer discretion is advised."

  • U.S. News Archives on the Web - Provided by the News Division of the Special Libraries Association, this site includes a table arranged by state and city. There is a link to the home page of each newspaper, the archive page, dates covered, and information about any charges for downloading articles.
     
  • U.S. Newswire - The wire service for news from the U.S. government and other public policy news sources.
     
  • Washington Post - An unusually comprehensive site covering one of American's leading newspapers.
