Scanner

Note: We have an Epson Perfection V100 Photo Scanner to assist you in the Open Computer Lab.

Log on to the PC station # 4 using your User Name and password.

1.       Click on the All Programs menu. 

2.       Select EPSONScan

3. Select either

§         For photos, choose “EPSON Photo Scan” .

§         For scanning text, choose “EPSON Text Scan .

3.       For Photos:

§         Put the item in the scanner, face down.

§         Click on the Scan button that is on the EPSON Scan box.

It will automatically save an image in the H:\MyDocuments|MyPictures by number i.e. img 001, or img 002.

If you want to save the scanned item somewhere else, double click on the scanned image and then click on the save icon ( looks like a floppy disk). A dialog box will come up, tell the computer where to save your scanned item, i.e. removable drive D:\ or E:\.

Any edits you need to make to the image, i.e. resizing, color adjustments, cropping, needs to be down in Picture Manager. Go to All Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Picture Manager.

 For TEXT:

§         Click on EPSON Text Scan

§         Put the item in the scanner, face down.

§         Click on Scan and Read

§         Click on Scan

§         Click on Save and Select the document type, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat ( for PDF files).

§         Name and save document in appropriate drive.
