Cuyamaca College -
Ornamental Horticulture
Entrance Courtyard Design Competition
Design Cuyamaca College Ornamental Horticulture Program’s New “Entrance Courtyard ”
For the first time in the history of the campus we will be connected directly to the other part of campus by a new ramp system extending from the student center on the north to our existing OH courtyard. The new ramp will end at the current OH courtyard and this will become the new entrance to the Ornamental Horticulture Unit.
The Cuyamaca College Botanical Society and the Cuyamaca College Ornamental Horticulture Program are sponsoring a design competition for the “New Entrance” to the Horticulture Facility. Our new entrance courtyard will serve as an inviting and inspiring entrance to the horticulture buildings. It should reflect the quality and diversity of our program, a place where students and guests could rest, wait for friends, or study between classes.
The Competition
The competition is open to current or former students of the
Cuyamaca College Ornamental Horticulture
Program. The objective is to redesign the existing
Ornamental Horticulture (OH) courtyard. Construction of the new design is to
be completed by students in the program over
the next several years.
Base maps will be made available to those entering the contest. They may be downloaded below or a hard copy may be obtained at the Cuyamaca College Ornamental Horticulture Offices.
