The baroque Mirabell Gardens were designed by the architect, Fischer von Erlach.. They are filled with statues and reflecting pools.  Julie Andrews and her seven charges showed off their singing voices in The Sound of Music in these gardens. On the west side is the Zwerglgarten, with marble baroque dwarfs and other figures.
