Nice, the fifth largest city in France, sits on the Côte d'Azur (French Riviera).  Below are a few photos of the sights along the promenade which runs for several miles along the beach.

The public gardens off the promenade have sculptures, fountains and arbor covered walkways.

Pittosporum tobira was a popular shrub along the promenade.
