The Chateau du Clos Luce is where Leonardo da Vinci spent the last time three years of his life (until his death in 1519.)  The chateau is now a museum of his inventions with life-size replicas in the garden.  Leonardo was a painter, a visionary engineer (civil and military machines), architect, city planner, and sculptor.

The collection of 40 inventions, drawn by Leonardo himself and constructed by IBM includes the first automobile, the tank, the parachute, the helicopter, the swing bridge, etc. designed by this engineer, four centuries ahead of his time.

The garden covers nearly 15 acres in the Italian renaissance style with replicas of his inventions placed throughout.
