The Floral Garden Phoenix, has 2 500 plant species, some of which rare, are protected in a Mediterranean setting. The tropical glasshouse, 63,000 sq. ft. and 75 feet high, is one of the biggest in the world. It has twenty thematic gardens, fitted with a sound system, perhaps to drown out the sounds of the Nice International Airport across the road.
