Internship Program
Thank
you for your interest in the Cuyamaca College
Ornamental Horticulture Internship Program. The department established its
first internship program in 1995 with a generous donation from the Rice Family
Foundation. Since that time other individuals and organizations have joined the
program to provide paid internships for students to work at the
Cuyamaca College Ornamental Horticulture field
site. These internships help to increase their skills in horticultural
practices and gain experience in positions of leadership with responsibilities
and expectations that help prepare them for careers in the horticulture
industry.
The internship program provides
experience in a wide variety of areas of our program, some of which are listed
on the following page. Funding may be for a specific position listed, or in any
amount for general internship support to help where the department finds a
need. If you have further questions about the program, don’t hesitate to
