Drawing I 3 Units (2 hours lecture, 4 hours laboratory) Prerequisite: None Beginning drawing concentrates on the traditional drawing techniques: line, shape, value, texture, perspective and composition. Dry media (pencil, charcoal and conte' crayon) are stressed in black and white compositions. Master drawings from all cultures, both past and present, will be analyzed. Students will be encouraged to explore technique, aesthetics and selfexpression.
