Degree Information

Associate in Science Degree

Associate in Science degrees are awarded when students have completed major course requirements plus general education requirements.

Degree Requirements

  • Core Requirements
    BOT 120-122      Comprehensive WORD (3 units)
    BUS 125             Business Law: Legal Environment of Business (3 units)
    PARA 100           Introduction to Paralegal Studies (3 units)
    PARA 110           Civil Litigation Practice and Procedure (3 units)
    PARA 130           Legal Research and Writing (3 units)
    PARA 132           Computer Assisted Legal Research (CALR) (3 units)
    PARA 135           Bankruptcy Law (3 unit*)

    Total Core Course Units: 21

  • Plus a minimum of 6 units from the following electives:
    PARA 120           Administrative Law (3 units)
    PARA 125           Business Organization (1 units*)
