Availability
of your course's Blackboard site
will begin on the respective date indicated below:
-
HUM 120, European Humanities:
Thursday, 9/3/2009
-
MUS 110, Great Music Listening:
Tuesday, 9/8/2009
-
RELG 120, World Religions:
Tuesday, 9/8/2009
If it happens that Dr. Carmona opens the
door to one of his Blackboard sites at a date earlier than indicated
above, you are
welcome to enter, look around, and perform any tasks that are available.
It is far more likely, however, that the respective course sites will
still be in preparation until the dates listed above, and that earlier site access will
therefore not
be possible--and so, if that is the case, please do not email Dr.
Carmona to request access before then. In
order to log in, you must already be officially enrolled in the
appropriate course section.

Please read and follow
all of the instructions
below:
-
LOG IN to Blackboard at
http://bb.gcccd.edu
using your default user
name (firstname.lastname)
and password
(your 6-digit birth date—e.g., 012580 for January 25, 1980).
If
you are unable to log in, try the following:
-
Double-check to make sure
that you have entered your default user name and password correctly.
-
Click
on the following link for detailed log-in assistance:
http://www.cuyamaca.edu/tlc/bb/docs/blackboard_login.asp
-
If
after repeated attempts, you are still unable to log in to
Blackboard, please
email Dr.
Carmona
immediately.
-
FIND THE
BLACKBOARD SITE FOR YOUR COURSE.
Once
you have successfully logged
in to Blackboard, find
the link to the appropriate course site and enter it. The link should
be visible on the first screen after log-in.
-
UPDATE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
(to be completed right
away at the beginning of the course).
At the opening screen of the appropriate course's
Blackboard site, find and enter
the
Personal
Information Page (button
in the far-left column). Please check to see if your
personal
email
address is correct (and one that you already check frequently) so that
you can be sure to receive announcements and messages regarding the
course. If you need to update your email address, please go
to your account at WebAdvisor and
change it there (at the WebAdvisor site),
because Blackboard will otherwise revert within 24 hours to
whatever email address you have listed at WebAdvisor.
Instructions on how to change
your WebAdvisor email address are available at:
http://www.cuyamaca.edu/tlc/bb/docs/webadvisor-email.asp. It is
a course expectation that you read and respond to the instructor's
e-mail communications in a timely manner. Neglecting or
forgetting to check for course-related e-mails will not be accepted
as an excuse for failing to keep up with these important
communications.
-
CHECK FOR ADDITIONAL
INSTRUCTIONS. Please check the
announcements posted at your course's Blackboard site.
Additional instructions and important information may be posted
there.
