Problem Report
If you are currently enrolled in one of Dr.
Paul Carmona's courses, please use this form to report a problem accessing or
using one of his Blackboard sites. Please submit a problem report immediately upon encountering a

Does
one of the following describe your problem? If so, please indicate.
When
logged-in to Blackboard, I do not find Dr.
Carmona's course listed on my personal welcome screen.
When
I am logged-in to Blackboard, I only get an
announcement and not the full course site when I click on Dr.
Carmona's course.
Suggestion: It is possible that you clicked on
an announcement link instead of the
course link.
Go back and see if you can
locate the course link.
My
computer or browser "freezes up" (or crashes)
when I try to log in to Blackboard, or when I click on a button/link
within Blackboard.
Suggestion
#1:
This sort of problem can be caused by your firewall, anti-virus software,
anti-spyware, pop-up blockers or other security software--especially if
you have set the security level too high or turned on security features
that conflict with the operation of Blackboard, your browser, etc. Changing some of those settings is often helpful.
Suggestion #2:
Apparent freeze-ups and slow-downs can also result when large numbers of
students are simultaneously attempting to submit online assignments
shortly before (including the night before) a deadline. You can
avoid those sorts of "traffic jams" by not waiting until "the last minute"
to submit online assignments.
Suggestion #3:
The college district's
Information Systems office has told me that the new
Internet Explorer 7.0 sometimes crashes when multiple website tabs are
opened. If you are experiencing reliability problems
like that, you may wish to avoid using multiple tabs in IE 7.0 when
working with Blackboard, . . . or try using a different browser.
Future updates will probably improve the reliability of IE 7.0.
Suggestion #4:
If none of the above helps, then come to
either the Cuyamaca or Grossmont College campus, and try logging in to Blackboard from
a computer in one of the computer labs. If you find that you
are able to log in from a campus computer, but
not from your own computer, you may need to consult a
computer technician to help you resolve the problem with your personal
computer.
None
of the above (Please describe
your problem below.)
Describe the Problem (unless already
indicated in the above-listed problems). Please be sure to describe exactly what you
saw, exactly what you did, and exactly
what happened.
