Learn how to make quick and easy baskets using torn strips of fabric. These beautiful baskets make wonderful gifts, accents for the home, and decorations for the holidays. Gourd Decorating
Discover many unique ornamental techniques of gourd decorating. You will learn how to clean, carve, and embellish your own gourd. Ornate Pine Needle Basketry
Learn how to coil a delicate basket around a beautiful polished stone. It is an easy way to start a basket and the stone makes a spectacular center. You will learn basic weaving techniques with pine needles, but use your new skills to weave almost any plant in your yard including lavender, jacaranda, and queen palm inflorescence. Beginning Jewelry Design
You will learn about the tools, gemstones, pearls, beads, and metals used in artisan jewelry design and construction. Topics covered are resources for purchasing materials, basic design, and construction techniques for making a bracelet which will be completed in class.
