members, community volunteers, developing officers, and individuals who
want to get a detailed look at the grant writing process. You will learn
how funding is announced, how applications are judged, and how to
construct each element of a winning proposal. Dr. John Drew manages a
grant-writing consulting firm and is a member of the Association of
Fund-Raising Professionals (AFP-OC). Bring a sack lunch.

Activity Director Training
An Activity Director is a person having the responsibility for
developing and implementing an activity program. This class is a
training course designed specifically for meeting the State Department
of Aging requirements for the Activity Director position. Upon
completing of this course, you will have met the Department of Health
Services, Department of Aging and Title 22 requirements for becoming an
Activity Director and you will be provided the necessary credential.
This eight week class consists of 56 hours plus you will need to
complete 20 hours of volunteer work.

Mystery shopping is an excellent way to earn extra
money and have fun. A Mystery Shopper receives assignments from
companies that do business evaluations. Potential assignments may include evaluation
of restaurants, retail stores, banks, gas stations, theaters, or other entertainment
events. At the conclusion of the visit, a written report is completed. This course provides an overview of how
Mystery Shopping
works, what types of assessment forms are used, do's and don'ts of
completing an assignment and how to get into the "Shopper's Network."
To be a successful Mystery
Shopper students must have access to a personal computer. Bring a sack lunch.

will receive a state approved certificate of completion for the class in
order to take the State proctored notary examination.
Instructor is from the California School of
Notary Public and is a California Commissioned Notary Public and a Loan
Document Signing Specialist. State proctors will allow all students to take the
proctored exam after the class is completed. Bring a sack lunch.

California's real estate industry needs notaries who would like to
become Loan Document Signing Specialists. In this class, your instructor
will present information on the duties and responsibilities of the
Notary Public entering the loan industry as a Loan Document Signing
Specialist. Upon completion of the class, you will be eligible to take
an open book certification exam during the last hour of class, and
receive a Certificate of Completion. Prerequisite: must have, or be
in the process of obtaining, a California State Notary Public license.
