How to Become a Notary Public
Fee: $115.00
New and previously commissioned notaries will gain the education and skills to pass the state proctored examination, detect fraud, and become successful in a new career. There is a growing need for notaries in the expanding financial, real estate, business and law professions. Become a valuable employee or own your own business. This class meets the state qualifications for new applicants and notaries that are renewing their commissions. Students will receive a state approved certificate of completion for the class in order to take the State proctored notary examination.Instructor is from the California School of Notary Public, and is a California Commissioned Notary Public and a Loan Document Signing Specialist. State proctors will allow all students to take the proctored exam after the class is completed. Bring a sack lunch.

- $40.00 check or money order made payable to the Secretary of State
- Current driver's license, passport, or active military identification card.
Loan Document Signing Specialist

California's real estate industry needs notaries who would like to become Loan Document Signing Specialists. In this class, your instructor will present information on the duties and responsibilities of the Notary Public entering the loan industry as a Loan Document Signing Specialist. Upon completion of the class, you will be eligible to take an open book certification exam during the last hour of class, and receive a Certificate of Completion.Prerequisite: attending, or be in the process of obtaining, a California State Notary Public license. OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Safety Training

OSHA 8-Hour Refresher Federal and CalOSHA Standards

This 8-hour Hazardous Waste Operator and Emergency Response (Hazwoper) course is designed to maintain the 40-hour or 24-hour Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Annual Certificate required for employees in the public or private sector, large or small businesses, who work with hazardous waste in any place from management operations to on-site clean-up. Six teaching methods will be covered: problem-based learning, project-based learning, work-based learning, direct instruction, cooperative learning, and service learning. Strategies for integrating academic skills will be addressed and how they apply to the adult learner.
