with a banner welcoming students to Cuyamaca College.

INDUCTION CEREMONY MAY 21ST, 2009
the past, the term "literacy" was a whisper in a library, a word typed
in a government document, or the lofty goal of a non-profit
organization, but now the cause of literacy is moving from schools and
government buildings to the hearts of ordinary citizens. Literacy
ignites the entire community (Better World Books, 2006).
Theta Kappa Alpha Pi Omicron chapter needs your help. You can be a part
of a movement to improve the quality of life for people locally,
nationally, and around the world by donating your unwanted textbooks.

Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society
of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship
among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta
Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership
and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and
ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of
interest in continuing academic excellence."
