The SAM software is
already installed on the computer systems in the CIS computer labs
in the H Building. See the CIS department lab web page for rules on
using these labs. There are systems in the Science and
Technology Mall which have SAM installed. Check with the lab aids to
locate those systems. Other computers labs may also have SAM
installed.

activation at Cuyamaca
You will need to activate
your SAM account by entering your key code located on the back
inside cover of the case containing the SAM CD's. See the
installation page for details.

To use the SAM software at
home you must install it on your computer system. The SAM software
included with your textbook bundle. If you didn't purchase the
textbook bundle from the bookstore you will need to purchase it separately.
SAM is available from the publisher (see the book information page)
or copies may be available from the bookstore.
You can install the
software on as many computers as you wish. The key code allows one
person to activate a one SAM account which can be
used on any computer where the SAM software is installed. This
allows you to use SAM from several different computers including the
college computer labs where SAM is installed.
SAM
installation and activation at home
If
you purchased a used copy of SAM the CD's cannot be used to activate
and account if the key code has been previously used.
You would be able to install the software but not activate your
account for this class.
