Installing
and Activating SAM
SAM Installation
1.
Insert
the CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive then close the drive
2.
If
the installation doesn't start automatically then do the following
a.
Click
Start.
b.
Click
Run.
c.
Type
D:\setup.exe (where D is your CD-ROM drive).
d.
Click
OK.
3.
On
the Student CD screen, click Install
SAM 2003. Follow the onscreen installation instructions.
4.
When
the Choose Destination location dialog box appears, it is recommended that
you accept the default directory for the installation of SAM 2003, but you
can browse to select an alternative location if necessary.
SAM Activation
I
have already created all the SAM accounts so there's no
need to enter an institution code.
Below are the steps to login to SAM and activate your account.
1.
Log
into the class web site
2.
Click
the Assignments link
3.
Click
on the SAM tab
4.
Click
on the < Start SAM > link
You should see the following
screens
5.
Enter
the key code located on the inside back cover of the CD case and then
click the ok button.
6.
Click
the agree button
for the license agreement screen.
7.
Click
on the Click here link to learn about SAM to
download the SAM documentation.

8.
You
should see the Welcome to CIS 110 screen. Click on the ok
button.
You will
then see the SAM Assignment page.
