The first step in creating an effective application is to make sure that when the application package is sent to the sponsor it represents you well. Remember, a weak applicatin only creates more paperwork and not a qualified candidate. Once you have decided on the scholarship ou wish to complete use all of your resources to ensure your application is the best. - Either print an additional copy of the desired application or make a copy; use the application copy as you rough draft. - Once the rough draft is printed or copied you will need to read the entire application prior to filing out any information. Once the application is completely read and understood determine what information is readily availabe and that which you will need to find. - Gather all pertinate information and organize it in the order that it will appear on the appliction. - Review the requirements for the Personal Statement and organize those questions with the information, the rough draft may be hand written or typed, but the final paper must be developed from the computer.
