Findings The purpose of CC Library’s assessment plan is to collect and analyze data that measures how well students are learning the components of information competency. Are our students learning what we think is essential to becoming information competent? If not, should our teaching strategies be modified? What other approaches and resources would help our students learn more effectively? GOAL 1: Student Information competency skills measurement of assessment and criteria for success: As of this date 11/25/08, we are developing our assessment tools. We expect to have 30% of the students who respond in a library assessment survey will report that they were able to find information using electronic sources, including books, published articles, multi-media, and web sites. The evaluation will be administered during a representative sample of instruction sessions. GOAL 2:

We expect to have 30% of the students responding in a library survey will say they understand how to order a reserve book, complete an ILL, log in remote from home. and to check out a book.
