To ensure a working environment conducive to productivity, the following guidelines have been established to insure a place where students can work with a minimum of distractions. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to serving you.
- We ask students to keep noise to a minimum while working so as not to distract others from their work.
- Cell phone use within the Open Computer Lab is not permitted. You will be asked to take your call outside the building.
- Keep phones and pagers on "vibration mode."
- Food or drink is not permitted in the Open Computer Lab or in the Science and Technology building.
- You will be asked to put drinks/food on a designated table in the foyer, if we see it at your work station..
- Do not install any software on the computers, as it may conflict with the software currently installed by the Network Administrator.
- If you need to save a document, use your student network drive ( H:), and use a USB or "flash" drive.
- If you don't have a USB drive, they are available at the Cuyamaca Bookstore, behind the counter.
- Bring your own headphones if you need to watch/listen to a video presentation.
- We do not provide headphones. They too are available in the Cuyamaca bookstore.
- Viewing obscene or pornographic websites is not permitted.
- On-site staff are here to assist you.
- Should you need one-on-one tutoring, we will direct you to an appropriate department to meet
your needs.
