In English 135-8 you'll become familiar with the basic principles of journalism. You'll analyze and evaluate journalistic texts, and you will prepare stories of your own for the college paper, The Coyote Express. You will work as a team with the rest of the CE staff, taking on different roles to produce a quality newspaper. Since our class enrollment is small, ten folks or less, you'll need to wear many hats: You'll write news articles, features, and editorials; you'll take photographs; you'll edit and proofread articles, your own and others'; you'll plan and develop layout; you'll contact local businesses, soliciting, negotiating, and creating ads; and you'll even distribute papers on campus. go to Top | Overview | Issues | Materials SyllabusSyllabusSchedulego to Top | Overview | Syllabus | Materials IssuesBelow you'll find all issues of Coyote Express, from fall 2001 through spring 2003.
