Bertel Pagaard, my grandfather (b. 7 January 1897, d. 28 October 1948).

Niels and Nielsine Pagaard, my great grandparents, had ten children. The youngest, Christiane, died of tuberculosis at age 21. Bertel, my grandfather, was in Swaziland at the time this picture was taken in 1937. Left to right: Karl, Ole, Anna, Marius, and Andreas; bottom row: Elna, Alma, and Mary.
