We do not settle
for mediocre but we strive continually to reach excellence.
Remember that great love and
great achievements involve great risk.
Coach Graham has
been involved in coaching cross country and track for over 10 years. She
spent the last 5 years at San Diego Christian College where she was the head
men’s and women’s cross country and track coach. While there, Coach Graham,
pioneered their track program. She also coached the school’s first National
qualifier. Prior to coaching at SDCC, Coach Graham coached youth track. In
her first year, she coached 3 first-year runners to the National level.
Prior to that, Coach Graham coached at Horizon High School in San Diego,
where she also qualified a second year runner to the state level.
Coach Graham, who
still competes in road races from the 5k to marathon, began competing as a 7th
grader. By her freshman year of high school, she had completed a few half
marathons, including one of the most challenging in the US, the Wild, Wild
West Half Marathon. By the end of high school, she had completed 2
Ride-N-Tie Endurance Races and 3 Marathons. Coach Graham went on to compete
in cross country for Point Loma Nazarene University. She was a dual athlete
there, lettering in women’s basketball as well.
Coach Graham has
resided in San Diego for the past 25 years. She is married to Bill Graham.
Together they have 5 grown children (all 5 of whom competed as high school
runners, and 4 competed in college).
While at Cuyamaca
College, Coach Graham looks forward to creating an environment of excellence
in which each of her athletes can thrive.
