Career Education at Cuyamaca College

High-wage, high-skill jobs currently have the highest unemployment rate in our nation and Cuyamaca College is ready and waiting to train students of all ages for those jobs. Best of all, this training often takes just one to two years of study, and always costs less than studies at a four-year or private college or university.

Career education programs at Cuyamaca College offer industry-approved Certificates of Achievement and/or two-year Associates degrees for the following programs:

As with many courses at Cuyamaca College, students who are awarded Associates degrees in CTE programs may qualify to have the credit for their coursework transferred to a four-year college or university for additional degrees. However, not all classes qualify for transfer credit. Counselors are available to determine this and help you develop an education plan that will facilitate completing your studies in a timely manner that takes your lifestyle responsibilities into account.

In addition, all services provided by our Career Center are free for all Cuyamaca students and alumni – from academic and personality assessments to practice interview video programs, résumé reviews, and job boards.

Our career education program coordinators look forward to talking with you and exploring the paths available for students eager to pursue studies leading to careers in high-skill, high-wage jobs here in San Diego County and beyond.
