Our campus Help Desk is a team of trained staff who understand the technological complexities used in our smart classrooms, computer labs, faculty offices and workrooms. We will work with you to identify the root cause of the problem and when feasible, will resolve your issue over the phone. Should higher levels of technical assistance be needed, we will post a ticket for our Instructional Lab Technicians.

The Tech Mall provides a quiet place to study, and provides instructional support to currently enrolled students. Our lab has the following resources; computers, peripherals, classroom related software, and technical assistance. We also provide student ID's.

Student’s Computer Network Account

Every currently enrolled student has a Student Network Account automatically generated for them, to use on campus. This account gives access to any networked computer on campus and provides connectivity to the campus wireless network. The student network account also comes with a student e-mail and gives students access to the on-line, library database, research resources.

If you need assistance, call or e-mail us. Please leave the following information:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Username
  • College ID number
  • 6-digit date of birth
  • Course name
  • Course section number
  • Instructor's name
  • Brief description of the problem


The Helpdesk is your best resource for troubleshooting technical difficulties:

  • Incorrect Username and or forgotten password.
  • Assisting with logging into your student network account
  • Help with logging into your student e-mail, the campus wi-fi, the library databases or your Blackboard/Canvas course.

Additional Services

  • If you need to find your Web Advisor Username and or College ID number, go to  the Web Advisor Help page.
  • If you need to reset your Web Advisor password, Contact Admissions and Records at 619.660.4275.
  • If you need help with third-party, software downloads, or course software, contact your instructor or the software web site for assistance.
  • If you need to have a quiz or test, reset, Please contact your instructor.

Lab Policies

To ensure a working environment conducive to productivity and in respect of others and the equipment, we ask for your cooperation with the following policies.

  • Cell phone use within the Tech Mall is not permitted.
  • Food or drink is not permitted.
  • Keep noise to a minimum.

Other Important Information

  • We have specialized classroom software for classes, i.e. CADD, Graphics, Accounting, etc. See a list of all the software available in the lab.
  • Cost for print jobs is:
    • B&W: $.15 a page
    • Color: $.75 a page
      • Bring change ($1.00’s or coins, no pennies) for the printers.
  • Cost for the B&W copier is $.15 a page
  • Please bring your own audio headphones.
  • We also support Student Services by providing an additional location for printing Student ID’s. After you are registered, bring a picture ID and your student ID number and we can print a student ID for you.
