Child Development Center Volunteering

Are you interested in earning community service hours?

The Child Development Center hosts a volunteer day every second Saturday of the month from 8:00-10:00 am at their garden. Volunteering includes mulching, planting, spreading compost, painting pots and building cages for growing vegetables. They are located next to parking lot 2. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and have fun while earning community service hours. The Child Development Center will award you a certificate with all your accumulated hours when you’re ready to transfer.

Take advantage of this opportunity that sets you apart from other transfer applicants!

Lakeside’s River Park Conservancy Volunteering

Do you like the idea of restoring and preserving the San Diego River?

If so, the Alpha Pi Omicron Chapter is partnering with the Cuyamaca College STEM Club to clean and maintain the Lakeside trails along the river. This includes planting, watering, weeding and trail building. This a great opportunity to help the community, be immersed in nature and get community service hours.

Upcoming dates include October 12th, 19th and November 16th from 8:30-11:30 am. For more information contact Christina Burnett: christina.burnett@gcccd.edu. Download the attached flyer for future reference.
